CHAIN HILL CEMETERY

The Town Council is responsible for grounds maintenance of the cemetery such as grass cutting and hedge clipping. Generally the funeral directors will contact the Town Council to arrange a plot for burial or ashes when someone has died.

ALLOTMENTS

There are five allotment sites in Wantage, they are: Grove Road, Lark Hill, Letcombe Field, Naldertown, and Stockham Park.

MARKETS

The Town Council is responsible for The Market Place and Victoria Cross Forecourt (in front of Victoria Cross Gallery). There is a Town Market in Wantage Market Place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  For more information call 01235 763459. The Town Council is responsible for the letting of pitches at the markets and for making sure that the area is left clean and tidy. For details of terms and charges for a market pitch  CLICK HERE

NOTICE BOARDS

The Town Council has nine notice boards installed around the town. These aim to promote local events and activities that enhance the vitality of the town and give support to local amenities. If you wish to display notices that meet these aims, please deliver posters to the reception at The Beacon. To accommodate the large number of posters being received, we have had to restrict posters to A5 portrait size.  The Town Council reserves the right to determine what posters will be displayed and the time and duration of posting. The notice boards cannot accommodate all the posters currently being received. All current posters can be viewed on this website under tab ‘Notice Board’
