Reduction in Parish Tax for 2021/2022
Your Council Tax is made up of various constituent parts for the services provided by; Oxfordshire County Council, Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley (PCCTV), Vale of White Horse District Council and finally the Parish/Town Council. This announcement only refers to the last item.
At the Town Council Precept meeting on Monday 14th December 2020 it was agreed unanimously to require the same level of precept for 2021-2022 as we received for 2020-2021. With the occupation of houses in the new developments the overall tax base has increased, this will lead to a reduction in the amount of Parish Tax payable to the Town Council from households for the coming year.
The chart above shows the level of Parish Tax for Band D for the towns/parishes in Vale of White Horse for 2020/2021. Wantage remains below the average for the Vale and should do once again in 2021/2022.
