Mayor’s Big Thank You – Raising funds to support the Mayor’s Charities: Letcombe Brook Project, Team Mikayla and Wantage Riding for the Disabled.

Sunday 21 April 2pm – 5pm, Parish Church of Ss Peter & Paul, Church Street, Wantage
Whether they’ve fed your cat or saved your life, we all have people we want to thank! This community event has been organised by the Mayor of Wantage, Angela Dunford in partnership with the Reverend Katherine Price and the local Parish Church, to celebrate the acts of kindness in our community, great and small.
Write a thank you tag and hang it on the Tree of Thanks:
- Tags will be available on the day, or can be collected in advance from reception at the Beacon or by emailing pa@wantagetowncouncil.gov.uk
- If you want to hang a tag but are unable to attend on the day then email pa@wantagetowncouncil.gov.uk with your message and a tag can be written and hung up for you
- Please consider making a donation as part of your thanks.
Church open from 2pm
- Free refreshments
- Exhibition of pictures by local school children on the theme of Thanks
- Stalls and presentations by the Mayors’ Charities
- Performance by Wantage Glee Club
4pm Service of Thanksgiving: a short service led by the Revd Katherine Price along with representatives from other churches, with music from Wantage Glee Club.
