Temporary Road Closure at Wantage. Newbury Street
A request has been received from SGN for a temporary road closure to apply to a length of Newbury Street, whilst essential gas works are carried out.
A temporary Notice is being made by Oxfordshire County Council to implement the temporary restriction and will operate from 15 July 2024 up to and including 17 July 2024. This is a 24hour road closure.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, that the Oxfordshire County Council
TEMPORARILY PROHIBITS THE USE OF THE HIGHWAY
BY ALL MOTOR VEHICLES
LOCATION: Wantage, Newbury Street
REASON: To facilitate essential gas works
DURATION: Starting on 15 July 2024
The anticipated completion date is 17 July 2024 (date included). This is a 24 hour road closure

ACCESS: Limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for frontages within the closed section of road, subject to the progress of the works
SUGGESTED ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:via Newbury Street, Wallingford Street, Ormond Street, Newbury Street and vice versa
