Vale of White Horse District Council has published the proposed modifications to part 2 of its Local Plan following recommendations from the inspector examining the plan.

The Vale’s Schedule of Proposed Draft Main Modifications document reflects the modifications the inspector considers necessary to make the plan sound. This is a normal part of the Local Plan process.

The council is now carrying out a six-week consultation on the draft schedule of modifications, which has been published, along with instructions on how to comment, on the council’s website at www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/LPP2.

The documents are also available for public inspection at the council offices at Milton Park, at Abbey House in Abingdon, and at Oxford City Council’s offices on St Aldates in Oxford. They are also available at public libraries across the district during usual opening hours.

Cllr Roger Cox, Leader of the Vale of White Horse District Council, said: “We have welcomed the inspector’s recommendations which should ensure our plan is sound. We look forward now to hearing the views of our residents and local organisations. This is an important step to the full adoption of our Local Plan, which will help us plan for future growth in a way that both maintains and enhances the qualities of the Vale.”

The consultation runs from 18 February 2019 until 5pm on 1 April 2019.
